Hitchin is a historic and busy market town located just off the A1 in North Hertfordshire.

Hitchin has some great rail connections and as well as being within commuting distance of London also offers quick and easy access to the rest of the country, and Europe too!
Hitchin station is around 5 minutes from the town centre by car or 20 minutes on foot. There are plenty of taxis available right outside on the station forecourt if you need one.
The station is serviced by First Capital Connect and is within 10 minutes of connections to the East Coast Mainline and 30 minutes from the Eurostar Terminal at St Pancras which makes Hitchin well placed for rail access to the rest of the country.
Some major locations that are within easy and direct reach by train are:
London – King’s Cross / St Pancras – For access to the new Eurostar International Terminal as well as the Victoria, Piccadilly, Northern Circle, Metropolitan and Hammersmith and City tube lines.

Hitchin is very well placed for road access being to the A1 (2 miles) and around 10 miles to the M1 at Junctions 7 or 8 and within easy reach of the M25.
There is a good cross country link between the A1 and M1 via Hitchin.
It is also close to the A6 and lies on the A600 and A505.
The rest of the world is within easy reach of Hitchin by way of London Luton, Stansted and Heathrow airports.
Hitchin is just 7 miles, by road, from London Luton (the home of EasyJet), 22 miles from London Stansted and just 34 miles from Heathrow and London City Airports.
